Where Does AQUA Mineral Water Come From? Find Out Here!

Providing water as one of the basic needs to support daily life, especially for consumption, is very important. That is why it is important for you to choose water that is safe and suitable for drinking. High-quality drinking water should naturally contain beneficial minerals.

AQUA is committed to delivering the goodness of quality drinking water. As one of Indonesia’s leading bottled drinking water (AMDK) brands, AQUA believes that the key to water quality depends on its source, such as mountain mineral water.

So, why does the source matter, and where does AQUA’s mineral water come from? Find out more in the full explanation below!

Where Does AQUA Mineral Water Come From?

AQUA’s water source comes from volcanic mountains, which have deep layers of soil and natural protective barriers that shield the water from human activity and pollution. AQUA does not choose these deep ground sources without reason.

Groundwater quality can be influenced by two main factors: human activity and surrounding rock layers (which provide natural minerals). Shallow groundwater is often exposed to contamination from human activities, such as waste disposal, which can reduce its quality. In contrast, deep groundwater remains protected thanks to its natural layers and distance from surface activities, making it much purer and richer in minerals.

Moreover, it is important to note that water from volcanic areas flows through layers of volcanic rock for hundreds of years. These rocks naturally contain minerals, and as the water filters through them, it absorbs those beneficial nutrients. That is what makes water from deep volcanic soil so mineral-rich.

So, where does AQUA’s water come from? Now you know, AQUA is sourced from deep, protected areas in volcanic mountains, ensuring purity and mineral content. This is also why AQUA has a naturally fresh and cool taste, even without refrigeration.

How Is the Source of AQUA Mineral Waters Selected?

After knowing the source of AQUA mineral water, you also need to understand how AQUA selects its water source.

AQUA’s water source selection is not done carelessly. AQUA will select water sources based on 9 criteria and 5 research tests that take at least 1 year. The 9 criteria are:

  • Water flow.
  • Physical parameters.
  • Chemical parameters.
  • Microbiological parameters.
  • Spring environment.
  • Physical stability.
  • Sustainability of water source.
  • Infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the 5 stages of the research are:

  • Identification and feasibility test.
  • Geological study.
  • Geoelectric study.
  • Exploration.
  • Water source utilization.

Because it is selected through strict stages, AQUA’s water source produces water that is pure, high quality, and safe for consumption.

So, what about water from shallow soil? Is it suitable for consumption like AQUA water? Water from shallow soil is not recommended for consumption, even if it has been boiled.

Dr. dr. Diana Sunardi, Mgizi, SoGK(K), chairperson of IHWG FKUI, stated that the process of boiling water and conducting independent filtration using a filter device is not enough to get drinking water suitable for consumption. The reason is that the process does not completely remove the harmful contaminants contained in it.

In fact, natural mountain mineral water filtration by nature is considered far more perfect because it has been going on for hundreds of years. The better the water source, the better the quality of the water produced.

Water Conservation by AQUA Klaten Factory

Determining the quality of drinking water is not only based on its water source, but also on its impact on the ecosystem. Today, AQUA is committed to spreading kindness through hydration that is not limited to providing quality drinking water.

AQUA’s focus is also related to how to return more water to nature and society. One form of realization of these efforts is AQUA’s initiation of suitable water resources management using an upstream-to-downstream approach.

This initiative has been implemented at the AQUA Klaten factory. AQUA also implements vegetative and artificial conservation activities on an area of 6,000 hectares.

These activities, such as the utilization of farming, the provision of water ponds, and infiltration wells, are expected to help water be absorbed more into the upstream area. Meanwhile, one of the economic benefits that can be felt by the surrounding community in the downstream area is the increased supply of coffee to various cafes in Klaten, Bekasi, Tangerang, and Jakarta. This is because the downstream is an area for regenerative agriculture practice and irrigation revitalization.

AQUA also collaborates with BRIN (National Research and Innovation Agency) to have an accurate calculation of how much water has been returned to nature and the community.

Well, what do you think? Apparently, AQUA’s water source selection process to provide quality drinking water to the community is very complex. Therefore, it is not surprising that AQUA is included in the good quality bottled water of the Indonesian people’s choice.

In addition, AQUA has also met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), BPOM, and has Halal certification. So, AQUA is a mountain mineral water that is safe for daily consumption. Let’s always stock up and consume AQUA DULU to support the fulfillment of high-quality mineral intake that is important for health. AQUA is 100% Pure, 100% Indonesian, and 100% Halal.
