The strategic partnership between AQUA and the Indonesian Mosque Council (Dewan Masjid Indonesia/DMI) has launched an umrah program for select mosque administrators (khadimatul masjid).
This program was initiated to support Muslim communities in Indonesia, particularly mosque administrators, and to show appreciation for their contribution to maintaining mosques in Indonesia with devotion.
AQUA and DMI Forge a Strategic Partnership to Support Muslim Communities
The strategic partnership between AQUA and DMI has launched a program titled the Spiritual Umrah Journey of Khadimatul Masjid. This program sent 20 mosque administrators from six provinces across Indonesia on an umrah pilgrimage in its first phase.
The DMI’s General Secretary, Dr. H. Rahmat Hidayat, SE., MT, thanked AQUA, saying, “On behalf of DMI, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to AQUA. This is a highly meaningful and noble initiative, giving our mosque administrators the opportunity to perform umrah. We hope this will be a first step toward bringing blessings to everyone involved. We also hope that AQUA will continue to receive ease and blessings in every step it takes.”
One of the mosque administrators selected for the journey, Abdul Alim Rohmatullah, also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to travel to Mecca to perform umrah.
Abdul Alim Rohmatullah has served as a mosque administrator (khadimatul masjid) for 17 years. He also often teaches the Quran and delivers sermons at the mosque.
He said that the collaboration between AQUA and DMI is highly beneficial, since it provides a new opportunity for mosque administrators to perform umrah.
Not all Muslims have the opportunity to visit the holy land due to various limitations. Hence, being given this opportunity is an immense blessing for these mosque administrators.
Abdul Alim Rohmatullah also hoped that more mosque administrators who have devoted themselves to maintaining the comfort and well-being of mosques would receive the same opportunity.
Moreover, mosque administrators have an important role in supporting the continuity of Muslim worship and religious activities. They even carry out these responsibilities voluntarily.
Future Collaboration between AQUA and DMI
AQUA and DMI will continue their collaboration to support Muslim communities in Indonesia and contribute to environmental, economic, health, and social sustainability.
AQUA is also committed to implementing other development programs, such as the Green Mosque Environment Program, the Socio-Economic Development Program, and the Clean and Healthy Mosque Program, among others.

He also hoped that through this umrah program, AQUA could sincerely show its appreciation to mosque administrators in Indonesia for their dedication to supporting the continuity of worship and religious activities in their communities.
“Through this spiritual journey, with all humility, AQUA hopes that we can offer sincere appreciation to mosque administrators from various provinces in Indonesia for their utmost dedication and devotion to the ummah and the wider community. We hope that this becomes a genuine expression of gratitude for their ongoing efforts,” Arif said.
