AQUA has once again collaborated with the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta to celebrate Ramadan 1445 H by hosting religious studies and interactive educational sessions.
This initiative reflects AQUA's commitment to providing benefits to the community, especially Muslims.
In addition to organizing these sessions, AQUA also provides 100% pure mineral water that upholds halal and thayyib principles.
The event takes place over eight days, from March 8 to March 16, 2025. During this period, AQUA has distributed iftar packages and takjil to approximately 49,500 worshippers.
Arif Mujahidin, Corporate Communications Director of AQUA, said that AQUA has grown together with the Muslim community in Indonesia. That’s why AQUA is proud to keep supporting Ramadan activities with the Istiqlal Mosque.
"Through this partnership, we invite Muslims to share the spirit of Ramadan by joining various useful activities and educational sessions. We also want to remind everyone about the importance of drinking 100% pure, halal, and thayyib mineral water as part of a healthy lifestyle during this holy month. With high-quality water, we hope to bring benefits and help Muslims have a blessed Ramadan," said Arif.
During this Ramadan event, AQUA also held product demonstrations to remind the public about the importance of choosing clean and healthy mineral water, especially to maintain good health during Ramadan.
"We organized interactive educational sessions where the visitors could see firsthand the difference between hygienic and non-hygienic mineral water. This is part of our effort to increase public awareness and engagement," said Arif.
Istiqlal and AQUA Ramadan Lecture: Sharing 100% Pure Kindness in the Holy Month
AQUA and the Istiqlal Mosque held a series of events to make the Ramadan experience more meaningful for the attendees. These events included religious lessons, interactive talks, and music entertainment.
Ust. H. Martomo Malaing, S.Q., MA, the Imam of Rawatib Istiqlal Mosque, said, "We must always be careful when receiving information. Before we believe or share it, we should check if it’s true. We should avoid spreading fake news that can lead to hate, bullying, or even violence. It’s better to verify the information from more than one trusted source to make sure it’s accurate."
In his speech, Ust. Martomo reminded the audience not to swallow the information they get raw, but to filter it first, especially before sharing it with others.
If these steps are overlooked, the information could potentially turn into the spread of hoaxes (false news).
Istiqlal Mosque and AQUA Partnership Journey
This Ramadan event is not the first time AQUA has partnered with the Istiqlal Mosque. On February 15, 2025, AQUA took part in the 20th anniversary celebration of the Al-Quran Study Center at Istiqlal Mosque.
The event featured several well-known religious figures, such as Habib Ja’far, Dr. Fahruddin Faiz, Habib Jindan bin Novel, and Prof. M. Quraish Shihab.
AQUA has also worked together with the Indonesian Student Association of Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) to help develop a generation of Muslim youth who are critical thinkers and have a broad perspective.
The event, which also celebrated the 71st anniversary of IPNU, took place on March 9, 2025, and was attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, and the Chairman of the IPNU Central Board, Muhammad Agil Nuruzzaman.
AQUA and the Istiqlal Mosque have worked together on various activities that support public health, the environment, and social causes.
In the health sector, AQUA holds regular exercise sessions every Friday at Istiqlal Mosque and provides hydration products to support partnership activities and promote healthy lifestyle education at the mosque.
Meanwhile, in the environmental field, AQUA and Istiqlal Mosque have joined the Indonesian Waste Alms and Collection Movement (GRADASI) since 2023 as an effort to manage waste and educate the public about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in houses of worship.
Furthermore, in April 2024, the initiative was continued by providing assistance for waste transportation cars to increase the capacity of waste management in the mosque environment.
For the social aspect, AQUA collaborates with the Istiqlal Mosque and other partners to hold a cheap essential food items exchange program for the underprivileged.
The action is part of AQUA's commitment to spread kindness and help ease the burden of fellow believers during this holy month.
“We are very pleased to collaborate with Istiqlal Mosque once again during Ramadan 2025. Through this partnership, we want to continue to contribute in spreading kindness, strengthening friendship, and supporting those in need. We hope this activity will not only benefit the community but also inspire more people to share happiness in this blessed month,” Arif concluded.
