FIFA has announced the list of teams competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. There are many sports included in the 2024 Paris Olympics, ranging from athletics, artistic gymnastics, and many others.
However, there is one particular sport which caught everyone’s attention, which is football. There are differences in its rules between men and women teams for football. Here is the complete list of teams competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic football tournament.
Did Indonesia Qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Football Tournament?
In the game to win the third place in the U23 AFC against Iraq, Indonesia lost, resulting in its fourth place in the league. Hence, Indonesia could not advance to secure its position in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
To advance to the Olympics, Indonesia must play against Guinea in the playoff held on May 9th 2024. This game also decides who will participate in Group A together with France and other countries. Unfortunately, Indonesia did not qualify for the football tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite this disappointment, Indonesia still competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics in 12 sports, sending a total of 29 athletes.

After defeating Indonesia in the May 9th 2024 playoff, Guinea became the last country to be eligible to take part in the 2024 Paris Football Olympics. Here is the list of the participants in the 2024 Paris Olympics in men football:
- 4 countries from Europe.
- 3 countries from Africa.
- 2 countries from America.
- 1 country from Oceania.
- 2 countries from South America.
- 2 countries from Asia.
Meanwhile, the list of the 2024 Paris Olympics in women football consists of 12 countries, including:
- 3 countries from Europe.
- 2 countries in North America.
- 2 countries in South America.
- 2 countries in Oceania.
- 2 countries in Africa.
- 1 country in Asia.
In this Olympics, there are different rules for each football sport category. The women football team will fight by adhering to the general rule of 90 minutes and 11 players.
On the other hand, the men's football team acquires an additional rule in team composition, in which each team must entirely consist of players born on or after 1 January 2001. In this case, the players must be 23 years old. However, the rule also states an exemption which allows three players above the age limit to participate in the team squad.

Countries which are eligible for 2024 Paris Olympics, particularly in football, will be divided into several groups. Each member of a group fights to decide the winner.
According to the raffle held in 20th March, Guinea is in Group A. Below details the group division in men football in 2024 Paris Olympics:
Countries in Group A:
- France (Host nation of the 2024 Olympics).
- United States (Champion of the CONCACAF U20 2022).
- New Zealand (Champion of the OFC 2023 Qualification).
- Guinea (4th place in the U23 2023 Africa Cup and the winner of the playoff against Indonesia).
Subsequently, Group B consists of the following countries:
- Argentina (Runner-up of the Pre-Olympics CONMEBOL 2024 Tournament).
- Morocco (Champion of the U23 2023 Africa Cup).
- Iraq (Third place in the U23 2024 Asia Cup).
- Ukraine (Semi-finalist of the U21 2023 Europe Cup).
Moreover, there are other countries which fill up group C and D. For your information, in this Olympics, there are countries which are absent due to certain reasons, such as England despite being the champion of the U21 2023 Europe Cup. This country did not acquire an agreement to participate from the Wales, Scotland, and North Ireland Football Federation.
These four countries can only participate as the contingent of Britain in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Aside from England, Brazil as the gold medal champion in the previous edition is also unqualified to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics, since it did not pass the CONMEBOL zone qualifications.

After going through the CAF qualification tournaments, Zambia and Nigeria have successfully completed their 12 teams of the women's football in 2024 Paris Olympics against Africa Continents. The 12 countries which are eligible to partake in the 2024 Paris Olympics will be divided into 3 groups:
Group A
- France (Host of the 2024 Olympics).
- Colombia (Finalist of the Copa America Femenina 2022).
- Canada (Champion of the playoff against Jamaica in the CONCACAF 2022 Women’s Cup).
- New Zealand (Champion of the Qualification of the 2024 Olympics in the Oceania zone).
Group B
- United States (Champion of the CONCACAF 2023 Women’s Cup).
- Germany (Champion of the playoff against the Netherlands in the UEFA Women’s Nations League).
- Australia (Champion of the 2024 Olympics Qualification in the Asia zone against Uzbekistan).
- Zambia (Champion against Morocco in the Africa Continents Qualification).
Group C
- Spain (Champion of the UEFA Women's Nations League).
- Japan (Champion of the 2024 Olympics Qualifications of the Asia zone against North Korea).
- Brazil (Champion of the Copa America Femenina 2022).
- Nigeria (Champion against South Africa in the Africa Continents Qualification).
